Details

We’re delighted to welcome Ryan Cook, an outstanding country and folk musician from Canada, on 4th April.

‘Owing a debt to country greats like Hank Williams Sr and Johnny Cash, Ryan Cook would be a superstar if there was any justice in the world’. Ken Kelley, The Noreaster Online

Ryan Cook has forged a sound between contemporary folk and traditional country.

With nuances of pop and western swing, Ryan’s song book is reminiscent of the early hillbilly folk pioneers but stays very much in the current landscape.

Ryan has toured as a solo performer, opening for country purists like Dwight Yoakam, Rosanne Cash and Travis Tritt. His acoustic live show combines thumb-picking guitar styles, original folk and country ballads and vintage music from the 1940s and 1950s.
