Details

As Christmas approaches, the scents and sounds of the festive season will come to life at this themed feast night. Picture feasting by candelight on a rich-tasting and delicious menu prepared by Liam Smith-Laing. With the fire crackling and the candles flickering, it will be a cosy and comforting atmosphere with scrumptious food.

Enjoy canapés of:

Sweet & sour duck beignets; Salt cod fritters; Iceberg skewers, blue cheese, apple & pecan; Grilled flatbread, smoked yoghurt, pistachio & rose

Followed by a starter of:

Spiced lentil soup, crispy shallots, coriander

A main course of:

Roasted pork belly, sage, baked swede, fricassé of winter vegetables & chestnuts

Rounded off with this medley of sweet bites:

Mont Blanc, chestnut and meringue; Pecan pie, cranberry compote; Petit choux, salt caramel and chocolate; Caramelised panettone pain perdu.

Mixing world, classical and urban styles, this talented duo will be playing over recorded projections of the full orchestra. They call this, ‘the virtual orchestra’.

With the glorious summer weather set to stay for the weeks ahead, join us for our summer feast overlooking the beautiful Camel Valley.

Our summer menu, created by acclaimed chef, Liam Smith-Laing, draws inspiration from the finest seasonal ingredients.

Start with a glass of pimms on the lawn, whilst tucking into month-watering canapes of:

BBQ chicken skewers, tarragon & honey

Marinated halloumi, pickled cucumber & mint

Tempura courgette, tomato & black olives

Crab & avocado toast.

 

Then, as the sun begins to set, take a seat at the barn’s long tables, adorned with vases of bright blooms for a starter of:

Gazpacho provençale 

Followed by a main course of:

Confit rainbow trout, seaweed salsa, charlotte potato salad

Rounded off with a dessert of:

Poached peach melba, raspberry ripple, basil.

Camel Studio is delighted to be hosting a ‘Charity Ladies Spa Evening’ created by Angelina Pieroni & Angeselle Hopwood to support, Sea Sanctuary - a Cornish mental wellness charity that harnesses the therapeutic qualities of sailing and the sea, with that of self-discovery and professional support. The chairty's CEO, Joe Sabian will be attending to talk about the wonderful work they do.

A professional team of beauty and complimentary health therapists from across Cornwall will create an evening of relaxation and discovery. 30-minute taster sessions will introduce you to new therapists, techniques and products you may not be familiar with, providing a fresh approach to your beauty regime. It is Spring after all!

Book 2 x 30-minute sessions ranging from express facials, massage, pedicures, manicures, reflexology, Indian head massage and many more. Once you have purchased your ticket, you will be contacted by email with a list of therapists and sessions available.

As the days lengthen and the new season brings a hint of reawakening after winter, it’s time to throw open the barn doors and let the fresh air of those first spring days inside. Our feast night, inspired by the beauty and freshness of the season, is focused on fine foods.

Our spring menu, created by Liam Smith-Laing, who has trained alongside top chefs including Marcus Wareing and Gordon Ramsay, begins with canapés of Ham Hock, Parsley and Mustard; Devilled Whitebait with Lemon Mayonnaise; Deep-fried Mac and Cheese; and Charred Iceberg Lettuce Skewers with an Asian Glaze.

 

Then, as the sun begins to set, bringing dappled light over the Camel Valley, take a seat at the barn’s long tables, adorned with vases of bright blooms. The starter of Goat’s Cheese Mousse is enhanced with Warm Brioche and the luxury of the foraged delicacy of Spring White Truffle.

Main course sharing platters comprise Slow-Roasted Lamb Shoulder with Wild Garlic and Barley Risotto and Braised Leeks, promising filling fare with a seasonal twist. Finish the meal with a dessert of Walnut Financier, served with Armagnac Prunes and Tea Cream.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, our focus has shifted to the warming Ecuadorian tradition of ‘El Día del Amor y la Amistad’ – the day of love and friendship. Embracing affection and camaraderie between loved ones – whoever they may be – it’s an inclusive version of Valentine’s Day, and we’re celebrating it in the best possible way at Camel Studio: with our Feast & Friendship Night.

Arrive at our wooden barn to canapés of Chicken Liver Parfait with Cornish Mead Jelly, Saffron Risotto Balls, Mackerel Escabeche, and Confit Leeks with Cornish Yarg, before being served a starter of Salmon Ceviche with Green Satsuma, Cucumber and Spring Onion. 

As you take your seat at long dining tables boasting sharing plates of Barbecued Pork Chops marinated in Sage and Yoghurt, Gratin Potatoes and Grilled Courgettes with Lemon and Herbs, you’ll be left with the cosy feeling of contentment. Settle in to the warmth that comes with the gathering of like-minded people, as you enjoy sumptuous delights crafted by Liam Smith-Laing, who’s worked as an executive chef in top restaurants all over the globe. The dining experience will be rounded off with Warm Fresh Doughnuts, Chocolate Ganache, Salted Caramel and Peanut Nougatine.

This feast is an experience like no other – think long dining tables piled high with freshly made, Mediterranean-inspired food. Whet your appetite with canapés of Barbequed Chicken Thighs, Charred Padron Peppers, Fried Polenta with Goats’ Cheese, Provençal Olive Tapenade and Home-cured Venison Bresaola. This will be followed by huge sharing plates of Grilled Cornish Cuttlefish, Fresh Prawns with Tarragon and Pernod Butter, alongside Charlotte potatoes, Chive Vinaigrette and Creme Fraiche, Charred Romaine, Crispy Shallots and Piquillos, before a scrumptious dessert of caramelised baked apple with custard. 

Paying special attention to the ingredients, renowned chef Liam Smith-Laing uses local produce and marries the right tastes to create something, quite simply, delicious.
